Scholarships
We are currently recruiting new members to participate in the upcoming 2026 Transplant Games in Denver, Colorado June 18-23. We encourage all recipients, living donors, donor family members and supporters to join Team Maryland! No athletic experience is necessary to participate.
Team Maryland will be awarding scholarships for the 2026 Transplant Games of America:
-Registration, hotel and airfare for two members of the donor family (donor family members will be responsible for their own food, as well as any other travel-related expenses such as souvenirs, cab fare or excursions).
-$500 scholarships for one living donor, one tissue recipient and one organ recipient
All applicants must be first-time attendees of the Transplant Games.
Application deadline: Monday, January 5, 2026
Winners announced: Monday, February 2, 2026
Requirements
-Living donors and transplant recipients applying for The Transplant Games Scholarship must have donated or received their transplant at one of the transplant centers in the Infinite Legacy service area.
-Must participate in at least one sporting event at the Transplant Games.
-The donor and recipient should be comfortable speaking to the media and must respond to media opportunities on a timely basis, should any arise.
-Regularly attend Team Maryland meetings to build a relationship with the other team members.
